Photographer's Stockholm stamp in black ink on verso. Otmar Uve Thormann was born September 26, 1944 in Graz, Austria, but lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden. He attended the Stockholm School of Photography and has been a freelance photographer since 1970.He has a monograph (Ottmar Thurmann, 1979, Gallery Camera Obscura, Stockholm). His work was included in the exhibitions: The Frozen Image: Scandinavian Photography at the Minneapolis Walker Art Center; and Prospect 96: Photography in Contemporary Art at the Frankfurter Kunstverein in the Weiermair.He is mentioned in several photography databases, including the George Eastman House, the Macmillan Biographical Encyclopedia of Photographic Artists & Innovators, and Auer & Auer. His work is held in the collections of the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Houston Museum of Fine Arts, the Stockholm Moderna Museet, the Stockholm Fotografiska Museet and Vienna's Sammlung Fotografis.
