A unique set of 27 photographs of Jerusalem and Bethlehem taken during the photographer's stay made for an exhibition of Kertész's works held at the Israel Museum from October 25 to November 3, 1980. Kertész was invited to come and photograph Israel by the museum's then photography curator Nissan Perez. Titles, numbers and notations on the verso are in pencil in the photographer's hand.
